Charalampos Papachristos

Charalambos Papachristos, an accomplished Agricultural Engineer (MSc) and graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, brings over two decades of expertise in quality management, product safety, and regulatory affairs in the food & beverage sector. He began his career in 2004 in academic and public sector positions, before joining CHITOS S.A. in 2007. After serving in the Quality Control Department, he was appointed Quality and Laboratory Manager in 2008. Since 2017, he has held the role of Quality and Product Safety Director (QA/QC Director), leading quality assurance across all production facilities and overseeing the auditing of external partners. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in driving innovation in new product development, advancing the Company’s environmental and circular economy agenda, and strengthening hydrogeology and water resources management, while ensuring compliance with both national and international regulatory frameworks. In 2025, he assumed the position of Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at CHITOS S.A., where he directs the Company’s scientific strategy and regulatory engagement, reinforcing its leadership in sustainability, innovation, and industry compliance. Beyond his corporate role, Mr. Papachristos has represented CHITOS S.A. at SEFYMEN since 2018, actively contributing to the sector’s policy and regulatory dialogue. He served as Vice President (Feb 2023 – Feb 2025) and was elected President in February 2025, further consolidating his role as a key voice in shaping the future of the bottled water and soft drinks industry.
